Rethinking Resilience: Beyond Coping Strategies
Understanding and shifting the real drivers that shape how people respond to pressure at work.
In this session, we move beyond traditional resilience training focussed on tools and techniques. We will go under the surface to explore the key hidden drivers influencing individual decision-making, performance, relationships and behaviour under pressure.
By combining reflection, discussion and practical tools to address real workplace challenges, we avoid passive learning and create opportunity for deeper insight that leads to longer lasting change.
Through practical, engaging activities (and the the metaphor of a car) we bring to life core coaching psychology and behavioural insight to move participants forward in their understanding and impact.
Participants will leave with practical knowledge and actions for how to move forward and continue to develop their resilience.
Learning objectives:
Understand the key components of resilience and how they interact
Consider individual current levels of resilience
Identify personal drivers that influence stress responses and behaviour
Learn practical techniques to reduce stress in real-time
Develop a personalised action plan to support ongoing wellbeing.
Challenging conversations, done differently
Not just another ‘dealing with difficult conversations’ workshop.
In this workshop we go deeper. We uncover what’s really happening in difficult conversations.
Grounded in coaching theory and Transactional Analysis, it helps participants understand the hidden dynamics and drivers behind conversations and relationships, why discussions escalate, get avoided, or don’t land as intended…and how to prevent and manage this.
Participants will work on real conversations they’re currently facing and leave with the awareness and tools to handle them with greater clarity and confidence.
Incorporating a focus on self-awareness and behaviour change, not just techniques, supports a deeper understanding of how people think, feel, and react in the moment, creating a greater opportunity for lasting change.
Learning objectives:
Greater confidence in handling challenging conversations and relationships
Practical tools to stay calm and respond effectively under pressure
Insight into their own communication patterns and triggers
Recognising and shifting unhelpful dynamics
Develop a personalised action plan to support ongoing development.
Before Burnout: prevention for busy professionals
In this session, we explore the subtle signs, pressures and patterns that can gradually lead to stress and burnout if not noticed or addressed.
Drawing on coaching psychology and behavioural insight, participants develop a clearer understanding of how internal drivers, thinking patterns and ways of working can quietly contribute to stress and burnout.
The session creates space to reflect on and discuss real examples, exploring early indicators of stress in both thinking and behaviour, and practical actions to address this in themselves and others.
Participants will leave with a greater awareness of how to prevent burnout and will take away practical strategies for reducing their risk.
Learning objectives:
Understand what burnout is and how to identify early warning signs
Identify internal drivers and behaviours that can contribute to the risk of burnout
Develop an action plan of practical strategies to support early intervention
Identify ways to build a more proactive, sustainable approach for managing pressure
Culture: The overlooked driver of sustainable team performance
This session, designed for leaders and managers, brings together content from our other three workshops to explore the role culture plays in supporting team resilience and consider practical ways leaders can support this through everyday behaviours, decision-making and ways of working.
Grounded in coaching psychology, NLP and Transactional Analysis, participants use a practical framework (based on five core pillars of resilience, brought to life through the metaphor of a car) to assess the current level of resilience and performance of their team.
Participants will reflect on real case studies, their own environment, leadership approach and team dynamics, and leave with practical, targeted actions to strengthen the conditions that support sustainable individual and collective performance.
Learning objectives:
Greater confidence in influencing individual and team resilience, wellbeing and performance
Understand your current resilience levels and that of your team
Identify strengths and pressure points impacting resilience and performance
Developing strong relational dynamics
Develop targeted actions to strengthen team resilience and support sustainable performance
